Taman Dedari offers a natural view of the Ayung River, the widest and longest river in Bali. The Dedari statue is the main mascot, inspired by the historical story of Rsi Markandeya's journey.
Reporting from one of the journals, on Rsi Markandeya's journey, he saw a beautiful place and radiated light like a place where the Gods resided. Thus, it was named "Ke-dewata-an" or what is currently better known as "Kedewatan". Later, when Rsi Markandeya meditated in the river area, he saw beautiful angels. Thus, the river is known as Ayung River which means ayu and beautiful. Taman Dedari Ubud itself means the garden of angels in Ubud. The name was absorbed from the legend of Rsi Markandeya with the phenomenon of the descent of angels in the Ayung River.

Taman Dedari's idea came from the pengelingsir of Puri Ubud, Ida Tjokorda Gede Raka Sukawati & Cok Ace (current Deputy Governor of Bali). The restaurant, which has an area of 1.5 hectares, is located on the banks of the Ayung River so the natural scenery is so beautiful and amazing.

The Dedari statues vary in height, there are four statues that are 10 meters high, four others 5-6 meters, and the remaining 42 small statues. These small statues line up to the Ayung River. This statue is not made carelessly, as evidenced by the results that are so precise and look real.
The angel's long flowing hair, the tips of the toes and hands, the strokes of the skin are all evident. The clothes worn by this statue seem to characterize luxurious royal clothing. It is no wonder that the grandeur and luxury of this statue is so pronounced, because behind it are famous Balinese artists and Puri Agung Ubud, namely Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana (Cok Ace), Ida Tjokorda Gede Putra Sukawati, and Ida Tjokorda Gede Raka Sukawati.
The establishment of this Angel Statue is based on the legend of Rsi Markandeya's journey from Mount Dieng through Mount Raung, until finally arriving in Bali in the 4th century AD. Then the Rsi settled in Bali and did meditation around the Ayung River. After meditating, the Rsi saw angels descending from the sky. The name Ayung River is also taken from the word ayu or beautiful. Legend has it that this is the river where angels descend from heaven to bathe.
