In a remote area amongst the enchanting coasts of the Island of the Gods, lies an indescribable natural wonder: Saba Beach. A breathtaking sight, on this beach, the beauty of nature speaks through a variety of elusive nuances. The fine black sand beach makes this beach different from other beaches, where usually the beaches on the Island of the Gods are white sand and form a mesmerizing beachfront. Calm or sometimes bold waves break on the shore, inviting visitors to feel the touch of the refreshing sea breeze. However, what is more fascinating is not just the outside scenery, but the diversity that is hidden in every corner of this beach.

Although Saba Beach is not very popular among local and foreign tourists, the fact is that Saba Beach still has a natural beauty that is so enchanting. This beach is a paradise that offers a very special experience for tourists. The rare and stunning black sand, like a soft rug that stretches along the edge of the beach, gives a unique touch to this natural panorama. The elegance of the black sand blends with the calm waters of the sea, creating an unparalleled atmosphere. The waves that play gently on the shoreline add to its appeal. Unlike most beaches that are dominated by ferocious waves, on this beach, the calm waves bring serenity, letting tourists enjoy the atmosphere more comfortably. In silence, travelers can enjoy peaceful moments, forgetting for a moment the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnecting with the enchanting wonders of nature. Like nature's gentle embrace, Saba Beach with its black sand and calm waves, bears silent witness to the serenity that every traveler craves for.

In addition to its stunning natural beauty, Saba Beach provides comfort for its visitors. Hidden behind the stunning panorama is a wantilan, a place that pampers tourists with the opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of the beach. On this beach, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view while sitting back and relaxing, watching the sparkling sea water dancing under the mesmerizing afternoon sunlight. However, the beauty of this beach panorama will be more pronounced at sunrise, due to its position on the east coast. Not only does the beach have its natural beauty, but also the availability of food and drinks. The street vendors lined up around the wantilan are ready to pamper visitors with a variety of appetizing local dishes. From snacks to authentic specialties, this place ensures that visitors are not only mesmerized by the beauty of the beach, but also provides comfort for tourists when visiting.

In the Saba beach area, there is also a turtle conservation called Saba Asri. Saba Asri is a turtle conservation located on Saba Beach, which not only offers natural beauty, but also plays a role in preserving and protecting important turtle species. This conservation is not just a place, but a genuine effort to maintain the turtle population in the Saba area.

This turtle conservation was initially established because the head of the volunteers in this place Made Kikik said, he felt sorry for the turtle eggs which at first there were turtle eggs that were left unattended in the Saba Beach area and then the eggs were eaten by predators around Saba Beach, such as stray dogs. With his kindness and initiative, Mr. Kikik then brought the eggs home to be nurtured.

Over time, news of a group of locals breeding turtle eggs spread and brought in tourists. At that time, tourists could come and help release the hatchlings into the sea free of charge. However, this news also brought security and local government officials to Mr. Kikik's house. In 2014, his house was visited by Satpol PP, the local Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA), the local Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Office, and representatives of the Gianyar Regency Government, "They said it could not be (conservation) at home, it had to be on the beach. Because we had no land, the Regent of Gianyar at that time gave us land here, this is state land," he said. Since then, Saba Asri has occupied a new location and continues to grow. The eggs buried in the conservation nests come from beaches around Gianyar, handed over by residents and tourists.

In the Saba Asri turtle conservation, turtle eggs are obtained from tourists or local residents who give them to Saba Asri, and sometimes Saba Asri also redeems or pays the people who give their turtle eggs. There are many activities that can be done by tourists, especially if it is in the turtle egg season. Where tourists will be invited to see and participate in the process of hatching turtle eggs, starting from the turtle eggs themselves, then planting turtle eggs, then the eggs hatch and after that they will be kept in a box to remove the umbilical cord or wait for the umbilical cord to come off, approximately a one-day process. Then after that tourists will be invited to release the hatchlings directly to the beach.

The Saba Asri Conservancy is an important milestone in sea turtle conservation efforts in the region. With an active role in the protection of turtle nests and hatchlings, as well as an educational approach to the community, Saba Asri is not only a place for turtles, but also a real example of how important it is to maintain and preserve vulnerable marine ecosystems.
