Tegalwangi Beach is close to Segara Tegalwangi Temple, which is a traditional Jimbaran village. However, it is a shame that Tegalwangi Beach is temporarily no longer open to the public. According to the Jimbaran Village Head, I Wayan Kardiyasa, one of the reasons why Tegalwangi Beach was closed again was because there is the Tegalwangi Temple in the beach area, so the area is sacred.
Then he, I Wayan Kardiyasa said "Tegalwangi Beach is a sacred area because there is a temple. Apart from that, the cliff above the beach is owned by investors. So tourists can go down to the beach via access down another road. It's just that currently the waves are high ", so visitors are not allowed to go down,". Apart from that, access to the beach also does not have barriers that meet safety standards. This is because the condition of Tegalwangi Beach requires passing/following a 20 meter high cliff to the beach.
Because Tegalwangi Beach is temporarily closed, regarding information that the beach is closed forever to the public, this news is still confusing because we have to coordinate with various parties, including the Jimbaran Traditional Village.
