Puri Kanginan consists of three mandalas, each separated by boundary walls and connected through kori (gateways). The palace’s architectural structure demonstrates an amalgamation of traditional Balinese architecture and Dutch colonial influences. Elements such as moldings, 'Curvilinear Gables,' pediments, and Tuscan-style columns are integrated into the palace's design, showcasing a unique blend of aesthetics.

The architecture of Puri Kanginan embodies traditional Balinese style, rich in ornaments and symbolism. The structure comprises several mandalas: Uttama Mandala (the main courtyard), Madya Mandala (the middle courtyard), and Kanista Mandala (the outer courtyard), each enclosed by boundary walls. Each mandala is connected by kori (gateways) with artistic designs.

The elevated courtyards create a majestic and strategic impression. Additionally, the carvings adorning the palace depict the spiritual and cultural values of the Balinese community, making it not only a residence but also a hub for cultural and religious activities.
