The history of the founding of the Yangbatu traditional village. It is said that there was a Brahmin from Keeling who wanted to go to Bali. This Brahmin was the son of Dahyang Kayumanis. When he arrived at Muncar Village, he met his father and he was told that the one in power in Bali was Dalem Waturenggong who was accompanied by Dahyang Nirartha as purohito, where the two of them were still brothers.

It is not told that during his journey, this Brahmin arrived at the Gelgel palace, Bali. At that time it was quiet in the palace because Dalem Waturenggo was at Besakih Temple for the work of Eka Dasa Rudra. Brahmin Keling immediately headed to Besakih Temple. Arriving at Besakih, Brahmana Keling, who looked tired, worn out, his body was dirty and smelly, went straight to the ceremony venue. The father who was seen at Besakih Temple was immediately questioned, and he admitted that he was Dalem Waturenggong's brother. No one believed what he said. Dalem Waturenggong doesn't know anything about the person who claims to be his brother. Keling Brahmins were mocked and expelled from Besakih Temple because they were considered to be polluting the work.

The Brahmin Keling left Besakih Temple heading southwest, while uttering a curse so that the work carried out by tan sidakarya (does not go smoothly). The earth suddenly became dry, the trees withered, sarwa gumatat gumitit ngrubeda throughout the universe of Bali. He disappeared from sight, no one knows where he went.

The curse uttered by the Brahmin Rivet came true. Plants suddenly wither and die, those that have bear fruit suddenly fall, rot eaten by caterpillars. Rice and secondary crops that are ready to be harvested are suddenly attacked by pests, rats and stinging bugs. Many humans and animals are sick. Dalem Waturenggong became sad, didn't know what to do.

Purohito's work is Danghyang Nirartha and Dalem Waturenggong doing yoga meditation. He found out that the cause of all this was the curse of a Brahmin Keling. Only he is able to return everything to the way it was before. So Dalem Waturenggong ordered the governor and his people to search for the Brahmin's whereabouts until they found him.

Long story short, there was news that Brahmin Keling was in an area in Bandana Negara (Badung) on ā€‹ā€‹the South coast. The governors and envoys picked them up to be taken to Besakih. After arriving at Besakih Temple, Brahmin Keling was greeted with honor, then presented to Dalem Waturenggong. Dalem Waturenggo said that the Brahmin Keling was asked to withdraw the curse and if things returned to normal, then Dalem Waturenggong would admit him as his brother.

The Brahmin Keling held a moment of silence, chanting magic spells without using any means. The situation gradually improved. Dalem Waturenggong then recognized the Brahmin Keling as his brother and was awarded the title of Dalem. Thanks to his sanctity and supernatural powers, the Yadnya went smoothly, so the Brahmin Keling was given the nickname Brahmin Sidakarya. Then his title became Dalem Sidakarya.

It is not said that the Keling Brahmin was moksa. Dalem Waturenggo ordered that the former Keling Brahmin boarding house be built a temple in which the temple was given the name Mutering Jagat Dalem Sidekarya Temple.

After the temple was finished being built, Dalem Waturenggong wanted to visit there. He started his journey from Gelgel accompanied by the patih, soldiers and people, to Gumi Badung, which at that time was led by Kyayi Tegeh Kori in Benculuk (Tonja). Dalem Waturenggong and his entourage continued their journey towards the south, arriving at the Bangun Sakti Temple. Dalem Waturenggong's group then moved south towards Pagehan (Pagan Village), and continued towards Pangonjan Temple. From Dalem Waturenggong sisni head south to Tangkas Kori Agung Temple.

Dalem Waturenggong's journey continued to the south again towards Penrawangan Temple, and to the south a little he arrived at the place where the soldiers gathered. The place is now built Warrior Temple. Dalem Wturenggong's group moved towards the west and was greeted by stocky people and many people. There were so many welcomers there that they covered (nungkub) the area, so the Dalem Tungkub Temple was built at that place.

From Pura Dalem Tunkub he continued his journey towards the South passing Alas Madurgama (Haunted Forest). In the forest he saw a rock emitting white smoke rising into the sky. Seeing this, Dalem Waturenggong stopped his journey for a moment. Dalem Waturenggong mehyang (worships) the Most Unseen Hyang who is on the rock.

Dalem Waturenggong ordered that a parahyangan be built in that place, which was given the name Pura Dalem Nyanggelan Hyangbatu, because there his journey stopped for a moment (mejanggelan). With the presence of mekudus stones or stones that emit smoke, the village is called Hyang Batu Village. From Hyangbatu Village, Dalem Wturenggong headed south and arrived at Sidakarya.
