In a tropical forest on the island of Bali, two ant colonies are busy gathering food to bring back to their nests. These colonies are the Fire Ants and Sidem Ants. When they cross paths on a narrow pathway, they glare at each other, neither willing to give way. Due to their stubbornness, tension begins to rise. Without much discussion, the differing viewpoints between the two colonies escalate into a fierce argument. The atmosphere intensifies as both sides start to insult and belittle one another.

The Fire Ant, with its arrogance, begins to boast of being a direct descendant of Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe. It believes it has dominion over the path due to its noble lineage. Not to be outdone, the Sidem Ant proudly retorts that it is a descendant of Lord Vishnu, the guardian and protector of the world. The Sidem Ant argues that since the duty of maintaining the balance of nature was bestowed upon its ancestors, it has more right to the path. Argument after argument is exchanged, escalating the conflict between the two colonies and making it increasingly difficult to resolve.

Words of arrogance were exchanged between them, and soon a physical fight broke out. Venom, bites, and strength were used to harm one another. As the battle intensified, more ants from each colony joined in, resulting in a massive war reminiscent of the Kurukshetra war from ancient mythology.

However, amidst the chaos, the Semangah Ants appeared. Their bodies were strikingly colorful, and their voices were filled with authority. Seeing the senseless battle, the Semangah Ants swiftly intervened to stop the fighting.

"Stop! Do not fight your fellow brothers!" commanded the Semangah Ant leader firmly. Hearing this, the Fire Ants and Sidem Ants ceased their battle, feeling intimidated by the presence of the Semangah Ants.

The leader of the Semangah Ants then questioned both colonies, asking why they would fight and kill their own kind. Hearing this, the Fire Ants began to feel ashamed, though the Sidem Ants still stood their ground. Both sides clung to their sense of righteousness.

With great wisdom, the Semangah Ant leader explained that while each ant might claim to follow their own god, there was no point in fighting if the true purpose of life was not understood. He revealed that the god he followed was Shiva, the destroyer, who could ultimately annihilate all living beings on Earth. Therefore, it was futile to boast about their powers when everything could be destroyed in the end.

The message from the Semangah Ant leader was clear: all creatures should live in harmony. Every individual has their own role to fulfill, and through collaboration, life can progress smoothly. The purpose of life is to achieve peace, and only through peace can true happiness be attained by all beings.

The Fire Ants and Sidem Ants finally reflected on the words of the Semangah Ants. They realized that their battle had been pointless, driven by ignorance and a lack of understanding. They decided to make peace and continue their tasks without hostility.

This story teaches us that unity and peace are essential foundations of life. Differences should not lead to conflict but rather serve as opportunities to complement and support one another. Only by understanding the true purpose of life can we achieve genuine happiness.
