Sukanta Wahyu Sculpture Park: The Fusion of Art in Lingga-Yoni Sculptures

I Made Sukanta Wahyu was born in 1939 in Banjar Sengkiding, Desa Aan, Klungkung, Bali. Growing up amidst a rich artistic tradition, he was inspired to explore visual arts, particularly sculpture. His career began as a civil servant in Klungkung’s Department of Culture, where he served as Head of Cultural Affairs until retiring in 1995. After retirement, Sukanta devoted himself entirely to his art, crafting unique and meaningful pieces.

Renowned for his dedication, Sukanta continues to create despite his advanced age, describing his creative process as "the miracle of nature’s words," where every material, whether wood or stone, inspires his work through its natural texture and form.
