Babad Gusti Celuk: Origins, Journey, and Legacy

Babad Gusti Celuk is a chronicle manuscript numbered Va. 1315/10, preserved at Gedong Kirtya in Singaraja and originating from the collection of I Ketut Kajeng, Banjar Tegal, Singaraja. The story follows the journey of Ki Gusti Celuk, a descendant of Ki Gusti Kaler, who was forced to leave Gelgel and later embarked on a long journey that brought his family to various regions across Bali and as far as Lombok. From one generation to the next, the story is filled with migration, marriages among noble families, conflicts, and the formation of various branches of the Gusti Celuk lineage. This Babad is not merely a genealogy, but also a story of a family that endured, grew, and left its legacy across different regions.
