The history of Angantaka Village dates back to the 18th century, around the year 1750 in the Saka calendar, when Ida I Gusti Ngurah Gede Abyan and his followers left Puri Blahbatuh. This move was driven by internal conflicts that forced them to seek a new settlement. They eventually found a forest area that was then cleared and developed into a settlement named Angantaka. The name of the village comes from the word Ngentak, which means "hot," reflecting the emotional state they experienced at the time.
