Tegenungan Waterfall is located approximately 20 kilometers from Denpasar City. It is situated to the east of Ubud, which is one of Bali's centers for art and culture. Specifically, Tegenungan Waterfall is in Kemenuh Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach Tegenungan Waterfall from Denpasar. To fully appreciate the beauty of Tegenungan Waterfall, you need to descend around 167 steps to reach the river that carries the water from this waterfall. During the descent, you can also enjoy the scenery and find several photo spots. About 3 meters before reaching the waterfall, you'll come to a junction leading to the waterfall or "beji”.  After descending the steps, you'll walk about 5 more meters to get closer to the waterfall.

The best time to visit Tegenungan Waterfall is throughout the year because Bali has a warm tropical climate year-round. However, for the best experience and to avoid more frequent rain, the ideal time to visit is during the dry season, which lasts from April to September. Sometimes, during the rainy season, the waterfall can become more intense and overflowing due to heavy rainfall.
