Kapas Waterfall: An Elegant White Curtain in the Buleleng Valley
Kapas Waterfall is one of the hidden natural destinations located at Jl. Gunung Batur, Tamblang Village, Kubutambahan District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. This waterfall is situated in a deep valley surrounded by green forests where the natural environment is still well-preserved. From a distance, the water flowing straight down looks like an elegant white curtain, blending with the green cliffs around it, presenting a natural scenery that is both calming and captivating.
The starting point of the visit begins at a parking area specifically provided behind a local resident's house. It is important to note that the access road to this location is very small and narrow, so cars absolutely cannot enter. Visitors are required to use a motorbike to reach the parking area smoothly. Here, there is also a spacious wantilan building (open pavilion), which serves as a safe parking spot as well as a resting area for visitors.

Visitors do not need to worry about fatigue, as the stair path is light and only requires a short time to immediately reach the destination point.

Right at the end of the short stair path, visitors are immediately welcomed by a viewing deck with a blue-colored iron safety fence. This platform is built jutting out towards the cliff, becoming the single best spot to enjoy the valley view freely. This strategic position provides a wide-open viewing space unobstructed by lush trees. From behind the blue barrier fence, visitors are presented with a majestic tropical forest panorama, creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the silence of nature while breathing in the fresh mountain air.

The true uniqueness and beauty of Kapas Waterfall radiate clearly when witnessed from this viewing deck. The scenery presented truly spoils the eyes; its water falls singly and vertically straight from the high cliff, creating a visual of a white line that contrasts cutting through the deep green cliff wall. True to its name, the water discharge falling from a distance looks so smooth and light, as if it were a clump of soft cotton or a long white silk scarf let loose in the middle of the wilderness. This viewing position from a height provides a majestic perspective, where the waterfall looks like a living nature painting, surrounded by dense vegetation that gives a calm and magical impression.

This visual charm becomes even more complete when the eyes trace the falling water down to the valley floor. At the bottom, exactly at the point where the water falls, a natural pool is formed. From the height of the viewing deck, this pool looks calm and mysterious, surrounded by large river rocks and lush water plants. The pool becomes a vessel that catches the water crashing down from the height, creating fine water splashes or thin mist that is sometimes seen blanketing the base area. The water color in the pool appears dark green or bluish, reflecting the shadows of the surrounding trees, giving an impression of depth and ancient coolness.
It should be noted that the path to the base of Kapas Waterfall is in a different location and is not connected to the photo spot area. Access to the bottom of the waterfall requires a long and exhausting journey with more challenging terrain. These conditions cause the majority of visits to be focused on the observation of the waterfall from above the valley.
