Dewa Bayu: Ruler Of The Wind And Guardian Of Nature

In ancient times, when the world was young and the sky was clean without pollution, there was a god known as Dewa Bayu, the ruler of the winds. Dewa Bayu lives on the highest mountain peak that rises to the sky, where he can watch over the whole world. He has the power to control the wind, from gentle, soothing gusts to huge storms that can topple trees

Dewa Bayu is known as a wise and just god. It has an important task, namely maintaining the balance of nature. Every wind it blows is not just a blast of air, but a way to keep nature alive and in balance. When the dry season arrives, Dewa Bayu blows a cool breeze so that the plants survive. When the rainy season comes, he will direct the winds to bring rain clouds to the barren lands.

However, there was a time when that balance was threatened. In a village far from the top of the mountain, there was a greedy king named Raja Dursana. He wanted to expand his kingdom and rule the whole world. In his greed, King Dursana decided to take control of the mountain where Dewa Bayu lived, because he believed that the power of the wind god could make him invincible. King Dursana gathered his strongest troops and climbed the mountain, hoping to capture Dewa Bayu. He thought, by mastering the wind, he could conquer the entire kingdom and rule the world. When he reached the top, King Dursana challenged Dewa Bayu. “O God Bayu, surrender your power to me, and I will rule the world. If you refuse, I will destroy your residence and make you my slave!”

Dewa Bayu just smiled. He knew that the power of nature was not something humans could possess, let alone control by force. Without saying a word, Dewa Bayu blew a gentle wind that carried a warning message to nature. Soon after, the rest of nature responded. Trees swayed, rivers roared, and dark clouds began to gather in the sky. The proud King Dursana did not back down. He ordered his troops to attack. However, before they could approach Dewa Bayu, a powerful storm suddenly appeared. The strong wind blew away King Dursana's troops, destroying their weapons and scattering them. Even the king himself was swept away by the wind until he fell from a mountain cliff. After the storm subsided, King Dursana's remaining troops immediately fled, afraid of the forces of nature that they could not resist.

Meanwhile, King Dursana, who was seriously injured, fell to the bottom of the valley. He finally realized his mistake, that nature cannot be controlled by human greed. With his remaining strength, he apologized to Dewa Bayu and promised not to repeat his mistake. Dewa Bayu, with his wisdom, forgave King Dursana. However, as punishment, the king had to leave his throne and live as a simple farmer, taking care of nature with his own hands. Since then, King Dursana, who used to be greedy, has become a humble and wise person, living in harmony with nature. This legend teaches that the power of nature is something to be respected, not mastered. Dewa Bayu, the ruler of the winds, will always maintain balance, and anyone who tries to disturb that balance will be faced with unimaginable power
